ZIA has worked with some of the country’s finest home-grown and international talent including Vandalism, Sneaky Sound System and Rogue Traders. She has performed a host of live gigs including Sydney’s The Basement, The East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Girlfest, and Brisbane’s Pride.

The City of Love video clip was shot in Super 8 film, and filmed in a funky retro 70’s style house in West Chermside, Brisbane. The clip features ZIA, a multi-cultural entourage, and framed still photography of famous iconic landmarks of Brisbane.

ZIA’s debut release was Underground, which fluttered within the TOP 50 the first 10 weeks of it’s national promotion, and peaked at #29 in the ARIA Club Charts generating repeated spins on specialist dance radio shows Australia wide. Underground reached Top 10 in the International Category in the recent Music Oz Awards, and the music video, shot in 32mm film by award wining director Stuart Mannion, is currently being distributed in Canada, France, Belgium and Germany.

ZIA’s debut release Underground’s 12” and Radio Remixes by Craig Obey peaked at #29 in the ARIA CLUB Charts and continues to generate repeated spins in clubs and on dance radio Australia wide. Underground fluttered within the TOP 50 the first 10 weeks of it’s national promotion, and peaked at 29 in the ARIA Club Charts generating repeated spins on specialist dance radio shows Australia wide – being added to specialist shows on Nova Sydney and Brisbane, Fresh FM (SA), Kiss FM (Vic), Triple J – Groove Train, Ministry of Sound (syndicated to 65 stations Australia wide), Hot 100 – mix sets (NT), HOT 91 (QLD), ZINC FM (QLD) while the Radio Metro (QLD) and Raw FM (NSW / QLD / ACT) added it as a high rotation single.

It is the intent in ZIA’s music and strength of delivery that has seen her work with and alongside some of Australia’s most regarded talent including Rogue Traders, Sneaky Sound System, Leo Sayer, the late great Billy Thorpe, Vandalism, and Grace Knight (The Eurogliders), Paulini (Australian Idol), Diana Ahnaid, Leo Sayer, DJ Josh, Brisbane’s DJ Neroli, and Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets), as touring bassist and backing vocalist.
ZIA performs as vocalist/bass player and with DJ decks and effects and the Band- guitarist Chris Palmer and drummer Marty Jones, and 3 of Brisbane’s Hottest Dancers, Matt Stephan, Shai Lewis, and Will Ryan (regular dancers at The Family and The Wickham, The Young Diva’s).
Influences are Flea of the Red Hot Chillie Peppers, DJs and Club Trax.
ZIA has played a host of live gigs, from Sydney’s The Basement, The East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Girlfest, Brisbane Pride Festival, Brisbane’s Summer Street Party Big Gay Day, to touring support for US soul sensation Lisa Hunt - consolidating her reputation as a world class entertainer.
